Regional Growth Capital invests in selected, growing companies in Missouri and Illinois that demonstrate significant potential for success. The investment serves as extended bridge financing for organic growth, acquisitions or recapitalizations.

The for-profit corporation is owned by 34 banks and the three largest economic development agencies in the region. Regional Growth Capital’s solid track record includes providing leveraged buyout financing as well as making investments in growing businesses for some of the premier companies in the St. Louis area.

In 1994, Richard Palank founded the Saint Louis Business Development Fund with a unique concept of underwriting community development by drawing on lines of credit provided by bank shareholders. In 2011, the company changed its name to Regional Growth Capital to better reflect its mission. Since its inception, the company has more than doubled its investment capacity and continues to increase its bank shareholders.
